NATO launched the Dynamic Mongoose 2020 naval drills near Iceland, Gazeta reported referring to the US Sixth Fleet.
The drills will last from June 29 to July 10. The equipment from the US, the UK, France, Canada, Germany, Norway, and Iceland will take part in them.
The purpose of the drills is to develop combat operations of submarines and their anti-submarine actions, as well as aircraft flights to control the sea.
