YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: According to the authorities, the constitutional amendments adopted by the ruling faction in the NA [National Assembly] on June 22 came into force on June 26.

According to that, the powers of three CC [Constitutional Court judges—Felix Tokhyan, Alvina Gyulumyan, and Hrant Khachatryan—are terminated, whereas CC President Hrayr Tovmasyan continues to serve only as a CC judge, although everything is not so simple and clear yet, to put it mildly.

According to Past newspaper’s information, the authorities are in such a hurry on the matter of "appointing" their own CC judges that they will not wait for the [respective] two months provided by law.

According to the information, [PM] Nikol Pashinyan is so excited and interested in this issue that he has had several working discussions and closed meetings on the topic—even on weekends—with some of the possible candidates for CC [new] judges.

According to our source, it is not ruled out that they [the authorities] will call a special [session of parliament] during this very week.
