A video conference was held between the FMs of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, and Elmar Mammadyarov, with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs as well as with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
During the online meeting, the parties discussed the peace process amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mnatsakanyan highlighted the impermissibility of the militaristic and destructive statements of Azerbaijan, noting that they harm the atmosphere of the peace process and impede the implementation of the preparation of peoples for peace. The FM noted the need to ensure comprehensive security for the people of Artsakh, including through free and safe movement.
The parties discussed the possibility of holding a personal meeting and organizing a visit of the co-chairs to the region, depending on the development of the epidemiological situation.
The willingness to conduct remote contacts next month was noted as well.
