President of Russia Vladimir Putin has offered Presidents of Iran and Turkey Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss other actions to fight against terrorists in Syria, TASS reports.

During the summit of the Astana process, the Russian leader stated that ‘one of the major goals of today’s teleconference is to analyze the current situation in the country and agree on what more could have been done to ensure long-term settlement in Syria’.

Putin clarified that ‘this first and foremost concerns continuity of the fight against global terrorism’. “It is necessary to think about what other actions are necessary in order to neutralize terrorist groups that are still operating,” Putin added.

According to Putin, Russia, Iran and Turkey have achieved a lot in the solution to the situation in Syria.
