YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) representative in the Constitutional Court of Armenia has submitted a petition to the Constitutional Court asking the latter to postpone the examination of the case scheduled for July 7, to provide to the NA the Armenian translations of the advisory opinions received from the ECHR and the Venice Commission, as well as a reasonable time to get acquainted with those opinions, the parliament informed.

To note, the examination of the case on determining the constitutionality of Article 300.1 of the Criminal Code in the criminal case involving second president Robert Kocharyan was scheduled for July 7.

But a petition by the Yerevan court of first instance—and again in Kocharyan's case—is still in the Constitutional Court.

At the moment, it is unclear what the Constitutional Court will do on July 7.
