Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he had passed the COVID-19 test before his trip to Washington to meet with President Donald Trump. 

He has tested negative, AP reported.

“I did the test,” Lopez Obrador said. “I’ve got my certificate.”

According to him, if the White House asks him to repeat the test on arrival, he will do so.

Lopez Obrador was due to leave for Washington on Tuesday and return on Thursday. He is making his first overseas trip as president to celebrate the start of a new free trade deal with the US and Canada.
