Germany has received nearly 10 thousand migrants within the deal signed between EU and Turkey in the past four years from Turkish refugee camps, Daily Sabah reported referring to Die Welt.

The newspaper referred to the information of the Interior Ministry as a response to a question of the Free Democratic Party (FDP).

According to the European Commission, 26,835 migrants were brought to Europe under the EU-Turkey deal between April 4, 2016, and March 16, 2020, and 9,967 of them went to Germany.

"Each member state makes its own decision on the admission (of migrants) according to the EU-Turkey pact," the newspaper quoted a spokesman for the Interior Ministry in Berlin.
