YEREVAN. – I have not talked to the President of the Republic of Armenia on this topic. Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan stated about this in a talk with journalists Wednesday in the National Assembly (NA), referring to the fact that the President has not signed the amendments to the law on the Constitutional Court (CC), and it is not known whether or not he will apply to the Constitutional Court on this matter—and for which he has 21 days.
"I will sign the law with great pleasure when the opportunity to sign for the NA president will open by law. (...). [But] the 21 days must pass, after which, in case the President does not sign and does not apply to the CC, a legal opportunity arises for the NA president to sign or not to sign the draft law,” the Mirzoyan emphasized.
