Vladimir Abrahamyan, Honored Painter of the Republic of Armenia, passed away Wednesday at the age of 79.

Nara Yepremyan, Abrahamyan's daughter-in-law, told Armenpress about this.

The artist's wake will take place Thursday, and the funeral—on Friday.

Abrahamyan was born in 1941, in Bjni village of Kotayk Province.

Many works of the artist are in the museums of Armenia, as well as in the individual collections of the citizens of various countries.

Vladimir Abrahamyan had also made the design of about 250 fiction books.
