YEREVAN. – A Los Angeles-Yerevan charter flight has been conducted, according to a statement posted on the Facebook page of Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan
“An Icelandic national air carrier Icelandair Boeing 767-300ER aircraft flying from Los Angeles Bradley Airport, with one stopover at Reykjavik Airport for refueling purpose, has landed at Zvartnots International Airport.
The flight is an unprecedented event in the history of Armenian air transportation.
By the special flight lasting about 15 hours, 265 passengers have been evacuated, 240 of them are RA citizens who stayed in the United States due to the COVID19 pandemic,” the statement also reads.
