The Ukrainian MFA commented on the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. 

The MFA expressed deep concern in connection with the aggravation of the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, the statement noted.

The Foreign Ministry urges the parties to the conflict to make maximum efforts to de-escalate the situation and continue to search for ways to resolve the conflict peacefully based on the universally recognized principles and norms of international law, as well as UN Security Council resolutions No. 822, 853, 874 and 884, adopted in 1993.

The Ukrainian side advocates a political settlement of the situation on the basis of respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders, the statement added.
