On Sunday and yesterday, Azerbaijan once again resorted to provocative actions, which received an adequate response from the Armenian Armed Forces, Past daily reported.
In an interview with the Past daily, military expert Karen Hovhannisyan noted that such a development was expected for him.
"[Azerbaijani president Ilham] Aliyev's behavior is strange, especially recently. There is also panic in the Azerbaijani elite," the expert noted.
"We can definitely say that Aliyev is not interested in the human losses of his own society. On the contrary, he would like to see more casualties on the border, to deepen the enmity between Armenians and Azeris, and to use that enmity to extend his rule," he added.
