Major Garush Hambardzumyan, 31, died from the adversary’s gunshot on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. He was from the Berd region and had one child. This is what head of Bazumi village Srbuhi Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, noting that Garush Hambardzumyan was registered in Bazumi village, but lived in Berd.

In 2016, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia presented Garush Hambardzumyan among the top officers and commanders of the Armed Forces (at the time, he still had the title of captain).
