Armenian permanent representative to CSTO Victor Biyagov delivered a speech during a meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council.
The representative of Armenia spoke in detail about the aggravation of the situation in the north-eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border amid Azerbaijani aggression, the targeted shooting by Azerbaijan of civilian infrastructure and civilians.
He noted that the civilian infrastructure of the Armenian settlements was fired upon by the Azerbaijani armed forces, resulting in damage to civilian facilities.
"All responsibility for the escalation of the situation in the CSTO responsibility zone lies with the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan," he noted.
“The current situation is an object of serious concern and attention for the entire Organization and each of its members since there is an attempt to direct aggression against one of its members in the responsibility zone of the Organization," he added. "This unprecedented situation is becoming an important test for each of us and for the Organization as a whole."
