Noubar Afeyan's Moberna Inc. experimental COVID-19 vaccine showed it is safe and induced an immune response in all 45 healthy volunteers at an early stage of the test, Reuters reported.

Volunteers who received two doses of the vaccine had a high level of antibodies - above the average observed in people who had COVID-19, the vaccine development team told the New England Journal of Medicine.

None of the volunteers participating in the study experienced serious side effects, but more than half reported mild or moderate reactions, such as fatigue, headache, chills, muscle pain, or pain at the injection site. These reactions were more likely to occur after the second dose and in volunteers who received the highest dose.
