The opening ceremony of a square after world-renowned singer Charles Aznavour will be held in Valence (Drome) in France on Friday. The area is located opposite the center of Armenian heritage. Hundreds of Armenian Genocide survivors arrived in this “historical Armenian quarter” of the city in the early 1920’s, Nouvelles d’Armenie reports.

Ambassador of Armenia to France Vigen Chitechyan, Mayor of Valence Alain Maurice and Charles Aznavour will attend the opening ceremony.
