Chief of Police of Armenia Vahe Ghazaryan today held a video call with Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin.

Ambassador Wiktorin greeted Vahe Ghazaryan and congratulated him on being appointed police chief. She expressed gratitude to the Police of Armenia for their excellent service in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, touched upon the effective cooperation within the scope of the EU TAIEX and Eastern Partnership programs and presented the upcoming programs.

Ghazaryan greeted the Ambassador, attached importance to the close cooperation and expressed gratitude for the support that the EU has provided for the to-be-created Patrol Service and the operational management center.

The parties also discussed the activities being carried out to establish cooperation with Europol and the efforts being made to fight against domestic violence in Armenia, in the context of the fight against the pandemic.
