A source of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs told RBK that 40-50 people participated in the massive brawl between Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Moscow and confirmed the news at the territorial police division.

According to RBK’s interlocutor, residents reported news about the brawl on July 23 at 10:29 in Moscow, and some witnesses informed that they had heard gunshots. ‘Police officers arrived at the scene of the incident and saw that there had been a clash and later a brawl between 40-50 citizens who looked like Caucasians at the intersection of Pererva and Perervinsky streets,” the source said.

Six Azerbaijanis and eight Armenians were detained on the spot and taken to the local police station. One of the participants of the brawl, a 34-year-old citizen, had an open wound on his shoulder, was transferred to a hospital and was interviewed by police officers. According to the citizen, he was wounded by an unknown person during the brawl.
