Google will let most employees work from home until July 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, The Verge reported.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent an email to the company's employees: “To give employees the ability to plan ahead, we are extending our global voluntary work from home option through June 30, 2021 for roles that don’t need to be in the office.”

Several tech companies have said they plan to gradually open their offices in the coming months. Meanwhile, Twitter said it would allow all employees to continue working remotely indefinitely.
