A meeting within the OSCE Minsk Group and the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border may take place in early autumn if the situation in relations between the two states and COVID-19 pandemic dynamics permit, a source at the Russian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti.

According to him, contacts within the OSCE Minsk Group are ongoing.

The main task now is to defuse the situation, which remains quite tense on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and intensify the search for a diplomatic solution within the OSCE Minsk Group, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry added.

He noted that the place of a possible meeting has not yet been determined.
