YEREVAN. – Yesterday we discussed the state standard of general education, which is at the Prime Minister's Office, and we shall soon adopt it at a government session; Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government of Armenia.

"The draft put into circulation expresses our strategic ideas on the necessary reforms in general education, and in the meantime, it will be improved by going through procedures," Pashinyan added.

He informed that in the next stage, there will be discussions in the government on the standards. "In the first stage, we are ready to share our strategic ideas completely openly with the public and to show that these strategic ideas are in the state, national interests of the Republic of Armenia, in the interests of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia and each individual. This is a necessary strategy to have a strong state, and nothing will distract us from having a strong state and to implement from this day the concept of the eternity of Armenian statehood defined by the national security strategy of Armenia, and in this sense, the standard of general education has a key and crucial importance," the PM concluded.
