Armenia said that repatriation is part of the national security program. Thanks to repatriation, Armenia intends to significantly increase the country's population, Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zare Sinanyan said during an online discussion of the tragic incident.

According to him, what comes to Lebanon, Beirut blast played a catalytic role. However, the increase in the flow of repatriates from Lebanon did not begin now - in three weeks about 300 repatriates arrived, mostly they have citizenship and acquired property. Even before the pandemic, an increase in student flow was expected.

"There were 30 years to prepare for repatriation. However, we start almost from scratch. The policy of repatriation was deliberately not pursued. The prerequisites and infrastructure were not created. We are trying to create everything as quickly as possible."
