YEREVAN. – If we ensure a proper level of wearing masks, we can consider that we have practically solved the problem with the coronavirus; Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at Wednesday's special sitting of the Cabinet of the government of Armenia.

"I believe it makes sense for us to trace our actions related to the coronavirus," the PM said, in particular.

According to him, in April-May, the COVID-19 numbers had increased in Armenia because the law enforcement bodies did not show enough firmness to settle these issues. "Today we have a chance to radically solve this problem. We have a chance to be in a completely different situation in fall. If we ensure a proper level of wearing masks, we can consider that we have practically solved the problem with the coronavirus," Pashinyan said.

He noted that they are going to reopen the whole general education in Armenia as of September 15, and, according to the Prime Minister, as a result, there will inevitably be an increase in certain numbers. "I hope we are extending the state of emergency for the last time," Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
