Lithuania lifts restrictions on entry into the country for citizens of Belarus wishing to enter the country for humanitarian purposes, LRT reported.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania proposed to include Belarusians in the list of citizens who do not fall under the prohibitions associated with coronavirus restrictions in the light of the current political developments in the neighboring country, said Lithuanian Interior Minister Rita Tamasuniene.

The minister added that the department proposed to include an additional category on foreigners in the corresponding government decision.

These are foreigners who come to Lithuania for special humanitarian purposes, Tamasuniene added.
