The Spanish authorities have ordered to close night clubs and ban drinking and smoking in public places, Reuters reports.

Over the past few days, Spain has reported a sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases (3,000 new cases were reported in the past day, there is a total number of 337,334 cases, the highest indicator in Western Europe).

Health Minister Salvadol Illa has informed that bars and restaurants will be closed and has recommended avoiding gatherings with more than ten people.

Overall, Spain has reported 28,605 deaths from the coronavirus.
