Today marked the opening ceremony of the Echelon 2020 special exercises for logistics support units of the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the Kapustin Yar exercise area in Astrakhan Region of Russia. The event began with opening remarks by Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Major General Mukhamejan Talasov, according to whom one of the main goals of the military exercises is to improve the joint logistics support operations within the framework of the collective rapid response forces.

During the military exercises, which will last until August 20, there will be special tasks for the logistics support of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces.

Thirty servicemen of the Armed Forces of Armenia have been engaged in order to ensure participation of the subdivision of the Armed Forces of Armenia and to improve the knowledge and practical skills of the personnel in terms of tactics and profession.
