YEREVAN. – Armenia’s world boxing champion Israyel Hakobkokhyan, who was on an indefinite hunger strike in downtown Yerevan, has ended it Tuesday.
Marina Khachatryan, President of the "Healthy Society" NGO, Sona Aghekyan, a member of the "Alternative Yerevan Municipality" initiative, and some others approached Hakobkokhyan today, and announced that they were joining him and also declaring a hunger strike.
At that moment, Hakobkokhyan announced that he was ending his hunger strike.
Israyel Hakobkokhyan was on a hunger strike for six days. His hunger strike was against the Istanbul and the Lanzarote Conventions, the Amulsar gold mine project, and some other matters.
