During today’s session, the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia gave a mandate to Stepan Stepanyan, accepting as a basis Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan’s statement that the powers of deputy of the National Assembly Mane Tandilyan are terminated.

“The Central Electoral Commission records that the mandate of the deputy elected from the electoral list of precinct #4 of the Bright Armenia Party of the National Assembly and whose powers are terminated, shall be given to Stepan Stepanyan, the next candidate on the electoral list of precinct #4 of Bright Armenia Party,” Secretary of the Central Electoral Commission Armen Smbatyan announced.

Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan wasn’t attending the session.

On August 14, deputy of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly Mane Tandilyan took to her Facebook to report that she had to drop her mandate and discontinue her work as a member of the management board of Bright Armenia Party since she has health problems that, according to her, are incompatible with her work as a deputy and her active efforts in politics.
