President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Haroutyunyan today received the delegation of The HALO Trust international non-governmental organization led by Regional Director Nick Smart.

The head of state congratulated newly appointed Program Manager of The HALO Trust Karabakh Office Miles Hawthorn on assuming office and wished the organization success in the implementation of its activities in Artsakh. Haroutyunyan said the organization’s activities are of vital significance for Artsakh since they are assessed not only in the amount of demined territories, but also the several lives of peaceful civilians that the organization saves.

Smart expressed gratitude to the President for the cordial reception and the high level of cooperation established between the organization and Artsakh’s relevant state bodies.
