Germany said that 10 European member states have agreed to accept 400 unaccompanied minor refugees from the burned-out Moria camp on the island of Lesvos, BBC reported.

During a briefing, German interior minister Horst Seehofer said that most of the young migrants will go to Germany and France.

The Moria camp was home to some 13,000 migrants.

After the fire, they spend the night on the road and in the fields. The EU authorities are currently working on the issue of their further placement.

After a visit to the Moria camp, the Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas said the planned construction of a new, more modern institution at the same site.

The Greek government sent a team to the island to find a solution to the issues, but residents are opposed to building a new camp.
