Twenty days have passed since Armenian serviceman Gurgen Alaverdyan’s ending up in Azerbaijan. Tigran Abrahamyan, head of the Henaket Analytical Center and former security adviser to the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President, wrote this on his Facebook page.

"In connection with this incident, Azerbaijan has carried out various actions of political, legal, and propaganda nature. These are ordinary primitive measures which Azerbaijan carries out, as a rule. (…).

[But] the biggest problem at the moment is that the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) dealing with the issue have not met with our serviceman and have not provided the necessary assistance so far.

"The more the ICRC meetings and contacts with our officer delay, such pressure on the serviceman and the issues related to the exercising of the rights defined by the relevant convention increase that much more," Abrahamyan added, in particular.
