The secret ballot of the candidates for the position of three new judges of the Constitutional Court is taking place in the National Assembly of Armenia.

The parliamentary factions of the opposition Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia Parties had stated they will not partake in the vote, calling the latter a continuation of the illegal constitutional reform.

As reported earlier, the government has nominated Edgar Shatiryan as a judge of the Constitutional Court, the President—Artur Vagharshyan, and the General Assembly of Judges—Yervand Khundkaryan.
