The march organized by the youth organization of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party in Armenia, which demnands the resignation of Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan, ended in front of the building of the ministry.

The participants of the demonstration voiced hope that the Armenian government will be reasonable and will consider the resignation of Arayik Harutyunyan during tomorrow’s government session.

“We’ll know what steps to take after tomorrow’s government session. We would just like to state that, for us, there are red lines that can’t be crossed, and there is no turning back. This means that if the government fails to solve the issue related to Arayik Harutyunyan tomorrow, we will take all the measures to relieve us of Arayik Harutyunyan and his policy within the limits of the rights reserved for us,” one of the demonstrators said.

During a press conference today, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan declared that his resignation is not on the agenda.

As reported earlier, the Youth Union of the Armenia Chapter of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party is holding a march under the title “For National and Progressive Education” today.

The march will kick off from the area near the Matenadaran and will pass through Mashtots Avenue, Amiryan Street and will end in front of the building of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The participants of the march will demand Minister Arayik Harutyunyan’s resignation for the chaos in the spheres of education, science, culture and sport and the anti-national policy that he is leading and calling it reforms.
