It is hard to disagree with the minister of education, science, culture and sports. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"In the beginning, you invite foreign women to show a church. Then, being a police sergeant, you gang-rape the guests and rob them in the area of the church. Then you engage in the protection of national values and national identity. Truly a ‘patriotic’ activity," Pashinyan added, in particular.

To note, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan on Wednesday had stated the following from the National Assembly rostrum: "Well, if you are talking about perversion, then in the future, I believe some Kotayk [Province] residents will learn to respect people, control their hormones, and love the church. In that case, they will not allow sexual harassment."

Harutyunyan was apparently referring to Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, MP, and business tycoon—who was convicted of rape in 1979.
