The headquarters of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine hosted a roundtable discussion under the title “Popularization of Common Historical Heritage”, as reported AnalitikaUA.net.

Among the attendees were Director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance Anton Drobovich, religious scholar Ruslan Khalikov and experts Oleg Sahakyan, Marat Hakobyan and Ilya Kusa.

Representatives of the community of scholars and experts and the Union of Armenians of Ukraine discussed the topic of wide coverage of the historical facts consolidating the society, as well as the problems with the preservation of historical and cultural heritage monuments.

Executive Director of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Hovakim Harutyunyan presented the proposals of the organization from different regions of the country, and the goals of and paths for implementation of those proposals were approved. Anton Drobovich highly appreciated the role of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine and stressed that the Armenian community’s events are targeted at the unification of the society and the development of Ukraine-Armenia relations.
