US President Donald Trump will not personally attend the United Nations General Assembly, which kicks off next week, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said.

Trump will not be in New York for the annual meeting of world leaders, he said. This year leaders will meet online amid the COVID-19 pandemic and many have sent tapes of their speeches.

But Trump has yet to deliver his speech, which raises the likelihood that he could speak in person on September 22.
