YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Zhoghovurd daily was informed that in January-August 2020, the tax revenues and state duties of the RA state budget made 887.5 billion drams, which makes 76.5% of the indicator approved for the nine months of 2020.

It is noteworthy that the actual indicator for 2020 is 5.3%—or 49.9 billion drams—less than the corresponding indicator for 2019, whereas it exceeds the corresponding indicator for 2018 by 14.9%—or 114.9 billion drams.

And in January-August, the value-added tax revenues amounted to 294.4 billion drams, which is 6.1% less than the corresponding indicator for 2019, but exceeds the 2018 indicator by 9.7%.

Profit tax revenues amounted to 102.9 billion drams, which is 15.9% less than the corresponding indicator for 2019, and 5.2% less than the 2018 indicator.

It is clear from the data published by the SRC [State Revenue Committee] that the results of 2020 are less than the results of 2019, but in any case, they are more than they were in 2018. And again, the reason for all this was the coronavirus situation and the state of emergency [in Armenia] due to that, when the [country’s] economy simply stopped for a few months.
