YEREVAN. – An investigation is underway to find out the circumstances of the death of a 30-year-old new mother in Yerevan, according to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
On Friday, Yerevan police received a call from a medical center, informing that a 30-year-old woman who had been admitted to the hospital in the 41st week of her pregnancy had died.
The police launched a criminal case under the Criminal Code article on non-fulfillment or improper performance of professional duties by the providers of medical care and services.
The criminal case was sent to the Investigative Committee and accepted for proceedings.
An autopsy of the body has been ordered to find out the cause of the woman's death, and an investigation is underway.
