Today at 11:16 a.m. the Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center received an alarm according to which an unexploded mine had been detected in the so-called “Vardi Tagh” (District of Roses) district of Aygehovit village, as reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
A firefighting-rescue squad for protection of special facilities of the center for civil defense forces of the Civil Defense Department of the Rescue Service left for the scene, demarcated the area and established on-duty service until the arrival of sappers.
It turned out that the discovered item was an anti-tank mine used for training.
The group of sappers of a military unit has transferred the mine to a safe area.
