YEREVAN. – There is one nominated and one self-nominated candidate for President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia. Judge Arevik Petrosyan of the Court on Thursday told this to reporters outside the Constitutional Court.

"At this moment we have already passed to the discussion of the candidates. There was self-nomination. As we are still in the process, and no recusals have been submitted yet regarding the nominations and self-nominations. There is not one candidate; one self-nomination and one nomination," Petrosyan said.

Asked whether there was a candidate from the newly elected judges, Petrosyan said "yes."

When a reporter asked if recently elected Constitutional Court Judge Yervand Khundkaryan had nominated himself, whereas Judge Arman Dilanyan had been nominated, Petrosyan said: "Partly true."

And to the question whether the new president of the Constitutional Court would be elected today, the judge said that she could not say.
