In an interview with RIA Novosti, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif said Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates backstabbed the people of Palestine by normalizing relations with Israel, but the ceremony held at the White House wasn’t a big event since Arab countries and Israel have had contacts for the past 15-20 years.

“Iran believes those relations will surely cause harm to security in the Middle East and are helping the Zionist regime repress the pretentions and rights of the Palestinians. So, Iran is against those relations and believes they were achieved at the expense of the region and the peoples in that region,” the Iranian minister said.
