YEREVAN. – Some people were forcibly apprehended Friday from the yard of the court where the matter of the arresting Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, MP, and business tycoon— is being examined.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported from the scene that an incident took place between Tsarukyan's supporters who have assembled outside the court, after which the police apprehended two citizens.

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, presided over by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, on Friday is considering the National Security Service’s petition to remand Gagik Tsarukyan in custody.

As reported earlier, Tsarukyan has been charged with orchestrating vote buying. But he does not accept the charge and says it as illegal.
