YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily writes: The housing market in Armenia has become passive, both transactions and prices have decreased.

In August of this year, the sale of apartments in apartment buildings decreased by more than 27 percent. A total of 1,150 apartments were sold in one month, which is 439 less than the previous year. Transactions have also decreased compared to the previous month—which is a much worse trend.

Fewer apartments were sold in Armenia in August than in July. Transactions were reduced by almost 7 percent. As the transactions decreased by about 16 percent in July, compared to July 2019, in August the decrease reached 27 percent.

The decline in transactions in the housing market continues to remain in Yerevan as well. Only 735 apartments were sold in the capital city in August; this is 272 less than last year.
