YEREVAN. – Three first grade teachers at Artem Mikoyan Basic School No. 166 in Yerevan have tested positive for the coronavirus. Ofelya Kamavosyan, deputy head of the public relations and information department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"The classes where they taught have passed to remote learning. The normal teaching process continues at the school; there were 40 absentees out of 500 people," she added.

As per Kamavosyan, there are cases of COVID-19 in schools in the provinces of Armenia as well.

But according to him, these cases will not be a reason to temporarily close schools.
