Ali Larijani was re-elected for the fourth time as the Speaker of Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Wednesday winning the majority of votes in Majlis open session.
Larijani, 54, won 212 votes out of the 244 cast votes, IRNA agency reports.
He has accomplished post graduate studies at Ph.D on Western Philosophy and has previously served some major posts including the minister of culture and Islamic guidance, head of the state television, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcast (IRIB) and
Prior to start his career in Majlis four years ago, Larijani was the Supreme Leader’s representative to the Supreme National Security Council.
