All Armenians in Samtskhe-Javakheti as well as throughout Georgia are trying to render their assistance to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with united efforts, and this help is provided in different ways.

"In the first days of the war, the Armenians of Javakheti closed off the Kartsakhi border crossing, which connects Turkey with Georgia. They were saying, 'If our goods are not allowed to enter Armenia, then Turkish trucks also will not enter Georgia,'" Eduard Ayvazyan, Director of the “Samtskhe-Javakheti Media Analytical Center” NGO, told Armenians Today.

According to Ayvazyan, about half a million US dollars have been collected in recent days. "We were able to help with medicine, as well as with sleeping bags and various other things. But the main amount was transferred to the Hayastan All Armenian Fund. And to this day, the fundraising does not stop in Javakheti and in various villages," he added.

"When the war is over, we must rebuild Stepanakert, Shushi, and the other cities [of Artsakh] as a nation—and so it shall be," said Eduard Ayvazyan.
