Little Vahe from Armenia’s Armavir, who is known for his initiative to sell walnuts for AMD 100 and sending the money to the country’s border, has been selling walnuts on the major streets of Yerevan for the past two days.

The boy’s mother told Armenian News-NEWS.am that her son was inspired by Armenian children selling their toys in the US and decided to do something to help soldiers as well.

When Vahe came home with little money the first day, his parents thought he was demotivated, but Vahe has been selling walnuts for the past eleven days now.

With Vahe's help, the family has already donated nearly AMD 2,000,000 to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

“I’m earning money to send it to the soldiers in Nagorno-Karabakh. I want all soldiers to return. I want peace in our country,” said Vahe, whose father has also left for the border as a volunteer.
