There has to be aggression against Armenia in order for Armenia to address the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This is what Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan told reportesr today when he was asked why Armenia isn’t addressing the CSTO.

“If Armenia is under attack, the country will address the UN in order to state that there is aggression against Armenia. We will also address the CSTO. It is still too early to talk about this,” the deputy minister said, adding that failing to address the CSTO officially doesn’t mean Armenia isn’t constantly working with the CSTO.

“Even the primary figures of states exchange information. There will be other actions when the time comes, but I hope it doesn’t,” he said.
