The adversary has become so weak that it is exerting all efforts to advance in one direction. This is what representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan said during a live broadcast on Armenian Public Television.
Hovhannisyan said the situation is currently better in the northern direction. “About a week ago, the adversary’s troops used artillery for an hour and a half in order to break through in the direction of two or three military positions. There were 700-800 militants who came in the direction of one position, but they failed to break through and were thwarted, leaving 200-300 bodies in the gorge. I assume they decided to go down to the south since they saw that they couldn’t achieve success,” he said.
Touching upon the Armenian side’s casualties, Hovhannisyan said there are obviously casualties since both sides have struck thousands of pieces of military equipment, cars and bridges are struck.
