Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan says the deployment of peacekeepers in the region of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is acceptable for the Armenian side, adding that those peacekeepers can be Russian peacekeepers.

“We accept the deployment of peacekeepers. I can say that Azerbaijan’s viewpoints on the composition of peacekeepers won’t match with Armenia’s viewpoints on the issue. If we’re talking about mutual concessions, the presence of Russian peacekeepers can also become an option for mutual concessions. The Russian Federation is on good terms with both Azerbaijan and Armenia. It’s very important to take into consideration the viewpoint of other countries in the region, and it’s important that the special peacekeeping forces stabilize the region, not the opposite,” Pashinyan said in an interview with Interfax.
